Our experience has been enriched by many stops at wonderful spots, competent explanations and a great flexibility and adaptation to our rythm. Thanks to our guide Ryan for all of that. We are convinced that we would have not had the same appreciation of the parks had we visited them on our own.
The places we visited were so beautiful that our pictures look unreal.

Booked this trip thru Amtrak Vacations. Not knowing what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised when we were picked up at our hotel at 7:00 am. Our guide and driver,... read more Tom, arrived in a passenger van with one other couple. All of us, shall we say, were way past our teens so we were in great company. Our first destination was Arches NP. which was 1/4 mile from our hotel. At that hour we breezed right thru the entrance, after Tom presented one of our National Parks Passes.
The rest of the trip was a wealth of information as to the geological events which took place in the area which created the beauty we beheld at every turn.
Toms knowledge was incredible and we knew instantly that he loved his work. He was very handy with our camera phones and knew just how to pose us for great shots.
Lunch was expertly presented with easy, healthy food that we could all enjoy.
I mentioned my interest in Petroglyphs and Tom made that happen. He introduced us by name to the Raven pairs which claimed the various parks and pointed out many areas of interest. Do the tour, enjoy the sights and sound of this big beautiful country and tell Tom Ron and Eileen said Hello and thanks
